Benefit for the Sherman family!

We are having a benefit supper for the Sherman family on July 3rd at the Auxiliary Building in Palisade from 5-7 P.M.  We will serve sloppy joes, salads and desserts.  We will also be selling some donated items at that time.  Come out and enjoy a meal and support a worthy cause.

Olivia was born 6 weeks early on May 7th.  They did surgery on her bowels that evening.  Test confirmed she has cystic fibrosis and she is in ICU in Children's Hospital in Omaha.  You can check out Vanessa's blog at...

This and that...

Here are some miscellaneous pictures of our everyday crazy life...

Matthew showing off his super hero muscles.

I'm not sure who is winning this battle...

Our new dog, Grace.  She is lhapso apso/havanese.  She is a good dog so far!  She loves the kids and has such a funny personality.

I'll give you a couple of guesses as to who made this mess.

My garden this year.  I measured a while back and it is 42ft x 63ft.

My sweet peas.  I have three gallon bags of sweet peas.

Radishes, green beans, beets and strawberries.

Potato plants.

Matthew's contribution to the garden.  An entire package of cucumbers planted in one area.

My Mom made this outfit for Abby.  It is adorable!

Everyone tells me Jake and Nathan look alike.  I have to admit I get them mixed up at times.

Fun in the sun...

KENNA'S HERE!!!

Kenna got here last week!  She is such an amazing young lady!

Go fly a kite!

Nathan found an old kite while we were doing some cleaning.  I told him after his nap we would try to fly it.  Well, he woke up and was determined we were going to get his kite in the air.  It all went well, except there was no wind and it was HOT!

So, I ran around the yard to keep it in the air.  I'm pretty sure by the end of the summer I will lose a good 20 pounds from doing all the crazy things the kids want me to do.
I finally handed it over to Nathan so I could go pass out.  He ran up and down the yard keeping it air born.
One afternoon we got bored outside and the boys started chasing me.  I was watering my flower garden so picked up the hose and started spraying them.  It turned into a fun game of who could out run Mom and the water.

I think they had fun!

A very messy Jake.
Jacob was trying to steal the hose from me.
