It's a.....

BABY!!! No, really!! I'm sure Jacob and Nathan would have been happier with a puppy, but there is no doubt. It's a baby!

So, I've been a little on edge since my last appointment. At my last appointment the doctor had a hard time finding a heart beat. She finally found it, but a week after my appointment I started getting worried about it. (I'm a worrier!) On top of that I haven't been feeling movement like I did in my other pregnancies. So, I've been a little worried. And this apointment made me at ease and the doctor was VERY thorough! Everything looks great! Oh- and I guess it's time to annouce the gender_

It's a girl!!!!
I did pretty good. I only cried three time today!! We did a little shopping. We don't have very much pink and purple in our house!! We bought a few outfits and a blanket. Jared said he will do more shopping for her when he goes to Omaha in a few weeks. I think he is going to spoil her rotten. I'm scared!!!

Happy Birthday!!

Yesterday was Jacob's first birthday. We plan to have a party for him this weekend, but we went ahead and celebrated together yesterday. Jared made him cupcakes and he opened our present and a present from Grandma Cena.

Hanging out in his new pjs.
Excited with his new toy.

Jacob has invented a new way to open presents. Eat the paper as you open it.

We also want to wish Miss Kenna a "Happy Birthday" today! She is now 9!! Where does the time go!!??!?

A few things I forgot....

So, I have a little confession. I don't really like to shop for clothes for myself. I love to find things for the boys, but when it comes to me I just don't have the time anymore to worry much about it. So, Jared will pick things up for me from time to time. I usually love what he gets me, but after seeing the following picture I'm starting to worry....

I think it's time to start shopping for myself again!!!

The two weeks before Christmas my kids were on a little experiment to see if Santa would really not come if they were naughty. This is just one of many messes. This is in my office. I'm not sure the game had all the peices when they were done with it and I am still wiping baby powder off of things.

I'm not a CSI but I'm pretty sure these footprints are Matthew's.
Just to let everyone know- you have until the 31st to vote on if the baby is a boy or girl. I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and hopefully the baby will cooperate and we can find out!!

A little bit of everything

I realize I have kind of ignored my blog for a little while. Things at the Blackman's Zoo are busy as normal. Raising four kids and being pregnant can have their moments and I guess the first thing to go was the blog. This might be the largest post I've made... so sorry.

Nathan and his goofy smile.

Jared and I made cookies the weekend before Christmas. We made a double batch of three different kinds of cookies and a batch of bonbons. Jared was the designated roller. He thought it was great at first but soon he was wondering what he signed up for...

YUMMY!

While we were making cookies we heard Jacob whining and this is where we found him. In case your wondering our zoo is filled with monkeys!!!

Matthew thought it was funny so he had to try it next!

The guys eating in the kitchen.

Seth and Jared were able to get some pheasant hunting in. They smoked them up on Christmas day.

We hosted Christmas at our house this year. We had a fun day of presents, good food and a lot of games. I know I had a lot of fun!!

Nathan playing with some of his Christmas presents.

The kids and Jared on Christmas morning.

Jacob fresh from a bath hanging out with Addison.

Luke playing with one of his presents, a punching bag. Very fitting for our house. Maybe the kids can take their aggression out on that instead of each other!

Jared and Jacob

Matt and Matthew playing Barbies on Christmas Day. The Barbies were out because Peyton was here playing. Now the boys want to play with them everyday. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

Dad watching a movie on Christmas Day.

Luke hanging out with Matt.

Heidi and Jacob having some quality time.

This is what Jacob does when he gets tired. This is why we lay him down to sleep instead of trying to rock him.

Gary stopped over on Christmas evening to drop off some presents for the kiddos. Of course he had to wrestle for a little while.
This weekend we went to Papa and Nana's house (Jared's parents), to celebrate Christmas with them.

Three babies celebrating their first Christmas- Jacob, Haley and Emma.

Family trip

Tuesday night after Luke's program we took off to Kearney for a little family time.

This is what happens when I let my kids dress themselves...

Matthew going down the slide.

Matthew kept taking his plugs out of his ears. For anyone who has kids who have tubes... do you have any advice on how to keep the plugs in? We would make him get out immediately, and put them back in, but he hates wearing them.

Luke's school program

Luke had his school program on Tuesday. Afterward, Santa handed out candy.
Jacob sat on Santa's lap. The other boys wouldn't have anything to do with him.

Luke singing.

Luke all dressed up and ready to go. He has been wanting to wear a suit for awhile now. The only thing that frustrated him was that it wasn't the suit his Dad wore in our wedding. He was pretty sure we could adjust it to fit him.

Pictures from Sunday

Nathan enjoyed his cake.

We made angel sugar cookies and let the kids decorate them. I think they ate a few sprinkles.
