Sherman family benefit

On July 3rd we had a benefit supper for the Sherman family.  It was a lot of fun to put together and I really enjoyed visiting with everyone who stopped by.  Thank you again to everyone who came out to support them, donated/bought items and donated money who could not be there.  We all appreciate your support.

Part of our summer fun...

Abby found some chocolate.  She LOVES chocolate!

Abby and Grace fighting over a blanket.  Abby won this battle!

The Father's Day card Kenna made Jared with fresh flowers.

Abby loves beets.  Especially fresh from the garden!

This captures Abby's personality quite well.

Nathan was going to cut the grass.

Attacking Dad.

Abby with her Abby doll my friend Aletha gave her.

Jake helping me shell peas.

Jake really happy because he was playing with Luke's Legos.  It lasted for 30 seconds until Luke caught him with the Legos.

Abby helping me with dishes.

Jake got in a fight with a basket of blankets.  The basket won.

Abby grabbed some food out of the cupboard and ran to her room.  Did I mention she loves chocolate?

Matthew doing some fireworks.  He LOVES fireworks.  He takes it all very seriously and spent hour after hour blowing them up.

Nathan could care less about the whole fireworks thing.

Watching Matthew blow things up.

Luke and Kenna danced in the rain one night.

They were soaked when they came in, but they had a blast.

Joe and Katie's wedding

Luke was honored to be in Joe and Katie's wedding.  He was really nervous but he did so good.

Thank you to Joe and Katie for making us a part of your special day!

Pioneer Days

This year for Pioneer Days we had an all class reunion at the Palisade gym.  Jared's Uncle Mike, the hypnotist, was the entertainment for the evening.
Shanele and I have known each other since we were babies.  We are still trying to figure out how to move closer to each other.  Some day soon!  :)
Our table was kind of like a family dinner with a few friends sprinkled in.  :)
Mike on stage.
My niece Tori was hypnotized.  She was so funny!  Here they are dancing to music from their shoe.

Benefit for the Sherman family!

We are having a benefit supper for the Sherman family on July 3rd at the Auxiliary Building in Palisade from 5-7 P.M.  We will serve sloppy joes, salads and desserts.  We will also be selling some donated items at that time.  Come out and enjoy a meal and support a worthy cause.

Olivia was born 6 weeks early on May 7th.  They did surgery on her bowels that evening.  Test confirmed she has cystic fibrosis and she is in ICU in Children's Hospital in Omaha.  You can check out Vanessa's blog at...

This and that...

Here are some miscellaneous pictures of our everyday crazy life...

Matthew showing off his super hero muscles.

I'm not sure who is winning this battle...

Our new dog, Grace.  She is lhapso apso/havanese.  She is a good dog so far!  She loves the kids and has such a funny personality.

I'll give you a couple of guesses as to who made this mess.

My garden this year.  I measured a while back and it is 42ft x 63ft.

My sweet peas.  I have three gallon bags of sweet peas.

Radishes, green beans, beets and strawberries.

Potato plants.

Matthew's contribution to the garden.  An entire package of cucumbers planted in one area.

My Mom made this outfit for Abby.  It is adorable!

Everyone tells me Jake and Nathan look alike.  I have to admit I get them mixed up at times.
