RSV

On Thursday, we took Abby and Jacob to their check-ups in North Platte.  As we were eating I noticed Abby's cold was getting much worse.  We went to her appointment and found out she has RSV.   They ended up admitting her to the hospital.  Thankfully Jared was able to take Jacob home and I stayed at the hospital with Abs.  Jared's Mom came to stay with me and help me out.  She was a huge life saver.  Between her IV (which was not fun at all) and just not feeling well we couldn't lay her down at all that evening and night.  Finally the next day we were able to lay her down for a few minutes.

God answered prayers and we are back home and doing well.  She had a doctor's appointment this morning and he said she is doing good and we can do her breathing treatments as needed.  Thank you to everyone who sent me messages while we were in the hospital!

RSV is so scary! My daughter Sarah had it when she was barely 2 months old. There were many babies in the hospital at that time with a huge RSV outbreak (this is 14 years ago now). Our doctor thought that I could handle the breathing treatments at home (since the hospital wing was full) and so I did but it was horrible - much more so because she was a very, very cranky infant and so I had to hold the nebulizer mask over her face as she was screaming with colic. Miserable times. But the glorious news is that God healed her and we made it through it.

Hope your little one is all well very soon.

Blessings,
Linda
