Some stuff...

This Monday and Tuesday was Luke's Star Student days at school. During those two days he was able to take pictures, games, snacks and have people go eat lunch with him. Jared and I have been up to eat with him before, but this time he could have other people too. On Monday, my Mom went with me and we met Jared to eat lunch with him. Today I picked my Dad up and he ate lunch with us. It was fun to hang out with him and his class and to visit with his teacher.
Luke showing a photo album to his class.
We bought bunnies on Saturday while we were in McCook. They are adorable!! I also took the bunnies up to the school with me today for Luke's class to see. They seemed to love them!
Mike, Cami, Morgan and Chase came to McCook on Saturday. Mike was the hypnotist at the Wauneta- Palisade Prom. For more information on him you can go to the site- www.thehypnomike.com

Little people

The boys have been loving the nice weather we are having. I'm really hoping we don't have too many cold days left because I don't think I will be able to keep them inside. They are ready for Spring and Summer.

Today I was getting clothes out for them to wear. It was the second set of clothes for the day and I decided to find them some shorts. As I was chasing Nathan, Matthew put on the shirt I had picked out for Nathan. It didn't fit- at all. He refused to let me change it. Then he put his boots on- the wrong foot- and headed out the door. So, Nathan decided he wanted to wear Matthew's shirt. It looked like he was wearing a dress, and had nothing on under.

Luke enjoying the afternoon. He really looks good in blue.

Matthew and his fashion statement.

Grandma Tami came over to play with the boys while I painted. All I could hear was everyone laughing. I think they had fun!

Nathan with dirt all over him.
The boys have a new game. It is called throwing dirt, grass and leaves at each other. They chase each other around the yard and sometimes into the house throwing it at each other. They do a lot of laughing, which is why I haven't stopped it yet.

Jacob has been incredibly helpful this week. Here he is helping Mom paint. He did such a wonderful job. He also helped me do bookwork. He shut my computer off while I was working and I lost 5 months of bookwork. He is a good helper!

Here he is helping Mom keep the floor clean. The best part about his help is his smile. He always has a huge smile on his face, which is why it is so hard to get upset!

We took a quick trip to Kearney. We had promised Matthew we would take him to the pool if he started using the "big boy toilet". He still hadn't forgot about it, and asked us on a daily basis if we could go to the pool now. So, we loaded up and headed to Kearney one night at 5. It was a quick trip, but I think they had fun in the pool.
Jacob didn't like the pool. He only let Jared walk him around after sitting on my lap for over an hour....

A post for Aunt Katie

Aunt Katie and Uncle Shane bought the boys some John Deere sweatpants for Christmas 2007 (A year and a half ago). Unfortunately, even though the sizes were what they normally wore, the pants were huge on all of them. Today we got them out and tried them on again. They actually fit pretty well now! Of course Luke had to find his John Deere shirt too!!

I love this picture. It's so very typical of my boys.

Updates

Another crazy week come and gone. I have no idea where the time goes! We started a new project this week. I will post more on it later.

After taking this picture I realized that Jacob's head is almost bigger then Nathan's. Nathan is our only child who didn't get the Vrbas head. Lucky kid!!

Jared needed a little nap and Matthew decided hanging with Dad is more fun than bath time.

Our little man with his shoes. We have a very hard time finding shoes for our children. They all have a very high arch, so finding shoes that fit is next to impossible. This was the first time Jacob not only wore shoes, but walked in them. He was a pro in no time.

The boys eating breakfast Dad cooked them. It's our weekend ritual for Dad to cook us breakfast. I think we all enjoy it.

Nathan and his cars. This kid has an obsession. He has to eat, sleep, breath cars.

I made a quick trip to the doctor today. They did another ultra sound. Everything looks good. To my surprise the doctor said her feet were up near her head. Instead of the usual fetal position she has her legs straight and they expand the length of her body to her head. OUCH!! I know it isn't a big deal for them, but that has to seriously be uncomfortable. She also did another 3-D ultra sound, but since the pictures are pretty close to the ones from the other week I won't post them.

Here is her leg stretched to her head.

Doctor's appointment

I had a doctor's appointment today. I had slipped and fell yesterday so I decided I might want to mention it to my doctor since we were here. I didn't figure it was anything to worry about since I had counted my fetal kicks yesterday. He was going to monitor me for a little while, but I was going to have to wait for another 2 people ahead of me, so he decided to do a quick ultra sound. It was the coolest thing!! First he asked if we knew what we were having. I told him he had told us before that it was a girl. So, he checked and said- "That is definately a girl!" There is no question. She was showing off. Then he asked if we wanted to play. He did a 3-D ultra sound and it was so cool. Seeing her little face brought tears to my eyes!!

The girl part.

My Project

I decided to tackle another item on my to-d0-before-baby-comes-list. I have been wanting to paint the boys room for awhile now. Luke hated the red in his room. It scared him for some reason. Jared and I went to North Platte last weekend and found some bedding for the boys. Matthew had been using Kenna's pink and purple comforter. He really didn't mind, but with her coming this summer I decided it might be a good idea to get it washed and put aside for her. So, with new bedding I picked paint colors for Luke and Jacob's room and got started today.

Matthew and Nathan decided to try to "help". I gave Matthew a paint brush with hardly any paint on it. It didn't take me very long to realize it was a bad idea.
Nathan grabbed my paint brush when I went for the camera.

Before pictures. We painted the room around Luke's bedding when we first moved into the house.
And after....
The color is a light brown color. Very neutral and something I hope he can grow into. I hope to not have to paint their room until they leave for college. It might be wishful thinking....

I tried to get done before Luke got home from school so I could surprise him. He had no idea I planned to paint his room. When he got home he looked at the walls and said, "Why did you paint over the blue? I liked it." Ummm..... Ok. I think I deserve that one. I remember when I was little I came home from school and my Mom had painted my room pink. I cried and then begged my brother to trade rooms with me. Luke did tell me he liked it and was very happy tonight when I got everything moved back in. Jacob really couldn't have cared either way.

I can guarantee next time I will make sure the boys go somewhere else for the day when I tackle a painting project. Matthew was running through the room and stepped on the tray of paint and it spilled everywhere. I managed to get it cleaned up thanks to my handy Spot Bot. I love that thing!!

Now I need to get some things on the wall. I think it will be a week or two before I tackle Nathan and Matthew's bedroom.

Some stuff...

I spent my day doing bookwork. My Grandma came to watch the boys for me this morning, and I was in such a zone I decided I would keep trying to get what I could done. Well, I look over and this is how I found Jacob. I bet he sat in this for at least 20 minutes. He was so funny! Thankfully, it kept him occupied so I could accomplish something!

Matthew with his cool shades. Check out those curls in back. His curls disappear after he sleeps on them so we get to enjoy them for about 4 hours everyday!

Jacob on the go and happy about it! (Yes, I realize it isn't centered. It's hard to get a picture of a baby walking!)

Updates

I am so behind on posts its not even funny. Sorry, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I will try to update as much as possible in this post...

My Mom, Grandma, the boys and I went to Luke's Spelling Bee on Tuesday. All we were able to see was the awards, but he was very excited to have us all there. He didn't place, but made it to the second round. His Dad and I are very proud of him for even qualifying!!!!
While waiting for the awards to start we were all able to enjoy the beautiful day out on the playground. It was fun to watch Matthew and see him interact with the older kids. He has no fear when it comes to watching older kids and then trying it on his own. Of course Luke was an awesome big brother letting him tag along and playing with him.
The boys and I also went to school on Monday afternoon to Luke's Valentine's Day party. Luke was very excited to have us all there and then Jared showed up shortly after we did. I don't have any pictures, but was proud to see how well Luke shared everything with his little brothers. Now if we could just get him to do that at home! =)

Last Friday we ended up having a snow day. We were suppose to get around 7 inches of snow, but it turned out to be maybe 3. I was a little disappointed. We went down to Uncle Dave and Aunt Amy's house to build a snowman. The kids had fun and the little snowman is cute!

I tried to give Jacob a Mohawk the other day. I was looking at a baby picture of him and decided to try it out. It didn't turn out nearly as well as it use to. On a side note- Jacob is now walking all over the place. He has been walking around furniture for a very long time, but never had the confidence to go farther than that. Now he walks and then stops and starts clapping. It is so cute and he is such a funny little guy!

I was surprised on Tuesday to find a package in the mail from my friend Shanele and Matt. I opened it up and there was baby girl stuff in it!! Thank you so much girl! I can't wait to be able to try all of them on her.

Luke lost another tooth!

Luke lost another tooth tonight. It's one of his top ones and you can already see the new tooth. I will be interested to see the new tooth!!! I'm hoping it comes in nice and straight!! =)

Nathan

I was busy trying to disinfect our house today. My main concern was the bathroom. Of course, if I spend most of my time in one room- the kids are guaranteed to follow. I went out to start another load of laundry and when I came back this is what I found....

Nathan covered in lipstick. The funny thing is- I don't wear lipstick hardly ever. I have no idea where it came from!!! I threw it away and tried to wipe him down. You can still see some of the lipstick on him.
